Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you create an account or purchase a subscription, we collect your email address (if provided) and subscription status.
• User Preferences: Your selected response styles, languages, and voice preferences.
• Conversation Context: Optional context you provide about your conversations to improve response generation.

Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: We collect a unique device identifier (using iOS identifierForVendor) to manage subscriptions and prevent abuse. This identifier is specific to our app and cannot track you across other apps.
• Usage Data: We track the number of responses and summaries generated to enforce usage limits for free tier users.
• App Version: We collect your app version to ensure compatibility with our services.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain our Service
• Generate AI-powered conversation responses and summaries
• Manage your subscription and enforce usage limits
• Improve and optimize our Service
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• Comply with legal obligations

Data Processing and Storage

Third-Party Services

• OpenAI: To generate AI responses. Conversation text is sent to OpenAI's GPT-4 API for processing. OpenAI's data usage policies apply, and they do not train their models on API inputs.
• Supabase: Our backend infrastructure provider for API endpoints and usage tracking.
• RevenueCat: For subscription management and payment processing. RevenueCat handles all payment information securely.

Data Retention

• Conversation Data: Not stored. Processed in real-time and immediately discarded.
• Usage Metrics: Retained for 90 days for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
• Device Identifiers: Retained as long as you use the app or until you request deletion.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmissions
• Rate limiting to prevent abuse
• Regular security reviews and updates
• Minimal data collection principle

Your Privacy Rights

TextSpark is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17.
