Frequently Asked Questions
Using TextSpark is simple:
- Take a screenshot of any dating app conversation
- Open the iOS Share Sheet (tap the share button)
- Select "Zap" (TextSpark's share extension)
- Choose your preferred response style
- Get AI-generated responses instantly!
The generated response will be automatically copied to your clipboard, ready to paste.
The free version includes:
- 5 response generations per week
- 2 conversation summaries per week
- Access to all response styles
- Conversation history tracking
- Multi-language support
Weekly limits reset every Monday at midnight.

Premium is billed monthly and can be cancelled anytime through your App Store subscriptions.
To cancel your subscription:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- Select TextSpark
- Tap "Cancel Subscription"
You'll continue to have Premium access until the end of your current billing period.
Yes! We take privacy seriously:
- Screenshots are processed on your device using iOS's built-in OCR
- We never store your conversation content
- Only extracted text is sent to generate responses
- All data is immediately discarded after processing
- We don't sell or share your data with third parties

TextSpark works with ANY dating app! Since we analyze screenshots, we're compatible with:
- Tinder
- Bumble
- Hinge
- Coffee Meets Bagel
- OkCupid
- Match
- And any other messaging app!
If you can screenshot it, TextSpark can help you respond to it.
For best results:
- Ensure the screenshot is clear and not blurry
- Include the full conversation bubbles in the screenshot
- Avoid screenshots with overlapping UI elements
- Make sure text is readable (not too small)
- Try taking a new screenshot if the first doesn't work

To restore your Premium subscription:
- Open TextSpark
- Go to Settings
- Tap "Restore Purchases"
- Sign in with your Apple ID if prompted
Your subscription will be restored if you have an active subscription tied to your Apple ID.
Troubleshooting
Share Extension Not Appearing
If you don't see "Zap" in your share sheet:
- Open any photo in Photos app
- Tap the Share button
- Scroll to the end of the app row and tap "More"
- Find "Zap" and toggle it on
- You can also drag it to reorder its position
Weekly Limits Reset
Your weekly usage limits reset every Monday at midnight in your local timezone. If your limits haven't reset:
- Check that your device's date and time are set correctly
- Try force-closing and reopening the app
- Contact support if the issue persists
